This Movie Is Not for Everyone

For one of my most recent theatergoing excursions in 2023, I went and saw Ari Aster's Beau is Afraid.

Having loved this master's previous features Hereditary (2018) and Midsommar (2019), this was high on my list of most anticipated films for this year. It did NOT disappoint! By turns darkly hilarious, unnerving, and always surreal, this was a rollicking three hours that I will not be able to stop thinking about anytime soon.
