This Is the Most Overlooked Film You’ll See This Year
Updated: Jun 9
Here's where I talk about the most overlooked motion pictures I've seen throughout the year!

For my first post here, I wanted to highlight Zach Braff's latest directorial effort, A Good Person. What a film! The performances were uniformly excellent, particularly by the always-phenomenal Florence Pugh. The writing and direction did a good job balancing unflinching drama with hard-won comedic relief. This also leads me to the dialogue, which I thought felt very natural and un-heightened. I felt like I was listening to real people talk, a credit to Braff. I also appreciated Mauro Fiore's cinematography, which made me feel up close and personal with the characters, an appropriate approach to the visualization. Also, I liked that the conflict resolution, without spoilers, wasn't totally clean-cut and wrapped in a neat little bow. The road to peace was not easy, which also feels apt. Overall, I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for something more dramatic to watch.
I'll continue uploading new posts about overlooked new films in the future, so if there are any suggestions you might have, feel free to email them to me!
