Movies I Loved But Critics Hated
Updated: Jun 9
Here's where you can read my thoughts on my favorite movies that critics didn't get on board with!

To start this page, I thought I'd post about The Green Inferno (2015), an Eli Roth picture that came out back in 2015 to a worldwide gross of only $12, 666, 449 on a $5 million budget. The film followed a group of young activists who tried to stop deforestation in the Amazon, only to later crash-land in the jungle and be imprisoned and brutalized by the same tribe they were out to save. It's pretty gnarly at times, but as crass and flawed as it can sometimes be, it's efficient and to-the-point in its social commentary, and Roth brings his mastery of the horror genre to make the scenes in the Amazonian village suitably intense. Definitely rent it wherever you can.
